March 28, 2008 Dear Today we feature three Senate candidates who can help the next President end the war. All three support bringing American troops home. All three are running against incumbent Republican Senators. All three Republicans have supported President Bush’s war. Click here to contribute to their campaigns. On Monday, the campaigns for Jeff Merkley, Jeanne Shaheen, and Al Franken will report their fundraising totals for the first quarter of 2008. These totals will be closely examined to determine the state of the races. All three need your help by this deadline. Click here to contribute $25, $50 or more to their campaigns. President Bush still proclaims: “The battle in Iraq is noble, it is necessary, and it is just.” Vice President Dick Cheney argues "It's important to win."
