During the winter holidays, we want to thank you for your staunch support of Council for a Livable World, and offer you our holiday wish list.
In 2008, we hope for:
- An end to the war in Iraq, and the safe homecoming of American troops from overseas.
- A strong and determined diplomatic engagement with Iran to secure a peaceful solution to their nuclear aspirations.
- A safer today and a safer tomorrow due to worldwide reductions in nuclear weapons stockpiles.
- A successful election night on November 4, 2008, that brings progressive voices to Congress, and a new President to the Oval Office who can begin to repair the damage from the last eight years.
Whether you're looking for presents under a Christmas tree, around a menorah, joining in a different celebration, or just looking forward to new possibilities in 2008, join us in our wishes for a more peaceful year under a smarter and more benevolent U.S. leadership.
