Today, March 31, is a critical fundraising deadline that provides evidence to the political community of the viability of candidates for the Senate and House of Representatives.

You have only until midnight tonight to meet this deadline for making a contribution to the progressive candidates Council for a Livable World has endorsed for the 2008 elections.

House candidates Darcy Burner (D-WA) and Patrick Murphy (D-PA), and Senate candidates Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), and Al Franken (D-MN), have all made ending the war in Iraq a centerpiece of their campaigns.

If elected, they will work for a prompt end to the war and help push through a progressive legislative agenda.
