Dear Friend,

| In just four days, Democrat Bill Foster will have the chance to win what has long been a Republican stronghold. Click here to help him! |
In just four days, voters in Illinois will participate in a special election that has become a clear referendum on the U.S. military presence in Iraq.
This election is for the seat formerly held by retired Rep. Dennis Hastert. A recent poll shows Democrat Bill Foster with a narrow lead over his pro-Iraq War Republican opponent. A Democratic victory in this Republican stronghold will be a huge loss for war supporters in Congress.

While Foster's Republican opponent was attending a fundraiser hosted by John McCain in recent weeks, Foster was running the first political ad in the country denouncing a permanent presence in Iraq.

Bill Foster will not only be one more voice in Congress against the war. As a physicist, Foster understands the dangers of nuclear weapons and is dedicated to Council for a Livable World's vision of a nuclear weapons-free world.
There are only days left in this crucial election, and Foster needs your help to win.
