In this Congress, we've seen tough-minded Democrats fight against Bush's policies - but we've also seen Democrats - like U.S. Rep. Albert Wynn - vote lock step with the Bush administration.

On February 12, we have a chance to help elect a true voice and leader for the progressive changes that we want to see. Next week, long-time peace and social justice activist Donna Edwards will challenge Wynn in a primary in Maryland.

Click here to contribute $25, $50, or $100 to send progressive advocate Donna Edwards to Congress.

Donna Edwards lost to Wynn in 2006 by only a fraction of the vote. Now, with her backing even stronger, she is showing her true dedication for progressive change by running again in 2008.

Donna Edwards has a long history of social activism. She has worked for women's rights, helping to found the National Network to End Domestic Violence and leading the effort to pass the Violence Against Women Act of 1994. She has been active in promoting campaign finance and lobbying reform. Rather than voting for the war in Iraq like her opponent, she was part of the opposition protest in front of the Capitol. If elected, she has promised to work to bring U.S. troops home.

We need Donna Edwards' activist and progressive voice in Maryland. She will not just vote the right way - she will lead in the effort to end this costly war.

Click here to contribute $75, $100, or $150 to give her that chance.

Sincerely,

John Isaacs and Guy Stevens
