Tell Your Senators to Oppose John Bolton

Sep 6, 2006

Today is the big day! Call your senators now and tell them to oppose John Bolton!

In anticipation of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's vote on John Bolton tomorrow, concerned citizens from across the U.S. are contacting their senators today to urge them to speak out and vote against Bolton's nomination.

Join thousands of others on today's National Day of Action to Stop John Bolton by calling the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121. If your senator is on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, tell him or her to vote against John Bolton tomorrow; if your senator is not on the Committee, tell him or her to speak out against John Bolton's nomination and urge other senators to do so as well.

Mention that despite declaring United Nations reform and creating an effective Human Rights Council to be his top priorities, Bolton has failed to achieve either of these goals. He has also been unable to organize the world community to stop genocide in Darfur or to persuade Iran and North Korea to abandon nuclear weapons plans or refrain from provocative missile tests.

Bolton cannot effectively represent the U.S. at the United Nations because he opposes the very existence of the organization.

Speak out in unison with thousands of other concerned citizens to oppose the re-nomination of John Bolton as U.N. Ambassador! Call your senators and tell them that John Bolton was not the right man for the job when first nominated and he is not the right man for the job now!

Sincerely,

John Isaacs & Guy Stevens
